My chosen image represents my interest in online teaching of English, developmental writing, or literature. I first delved into online learing in 2001 via Progressive Insurance. Too often, online coursework, be it single courses, certification, or degrees, is viewed as less rigorous and soft. To the contrary, the time invested in the creation and delivery of optimal-quality online instruction is hard work. There are also online course offerings for some K-12 courses. In my short teacing career, I have been fortunate to teach ELA/reading, Integrated Studies, FLEX, ELL, and English 101 in the ususal face-to-face format. Now the time has come for me to dabble in online teaching and/or hybrid or blended courses.
